The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) was founded in 1670 as a physic garden. It is now is a world-renowned centre for plant science and education, boasting a rich living collection of plants over four Gardens (Edinburgh, Benmore, Dawyck and Logan).
The RBGE Publications team publish a wide range of titles including books of botanical, environmental and horticultural interest, art and history books and children's titles as well as guide books to the four Gardens of RBGE. Our publications disseminate the results of our scientific and horticultural research and open up our 3 collections - the Living Collection, Herbarium and Library and Archive - to a wider audience.
RBGE also publishes two journals. Our premier scientific journal, the Edinburgh Journal of Botany, has its editorial headquarters in Edinburgh and is published by Cambridge University Press. RBGE's Horticultural Journal Sibbaldia is published by the Garden.
